E-Contest organized to celebrate Fathers Day at IMS

“The power of a dad in a child’s life is unmatched.”

Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. On June 21st,2020 Institute of Management Sciences organized lockdown activities to commemorate the father’s day celebration.

The first contest in the series of events was “THE RECREATE LENS” where contestants clicked a picture with their father and recreated their childhood photograph in the same pose.

The winners of the event were
1st position– Kamil Kour (BBA-4th Sem) & Manav Dhar (BCA-2nd Sem)
2nd position– Preeti Bhat (BBA- 2nd Sem)

The Second contest in the series of events was “ARTISTRY” where the participants fashioned various creations using any kind of art/craft (e.g. Painting, portrait, collage, sand art, etc) to express love for their dad.

The winners of the event were:
First Position- Vanshika Dubey (Electrical, YCET)
Second Position- Navneet Kaur (MBA, IMS)
Third Position- Muskan Bakshi (Civil, YCET)

The last activity was “SPILL THE INK” which was a Creative note writing event on the theme MY DAD MY HERO.

The winners of the event were
First Position- Simran- CSE, YCET
Second Position- Utkarsh Sharma- Civil, YCET
Third Position- Reetika Pawar- Civil, YCET

IMS organized E-contest to celebrate International Nurse Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 all around the world. This day highlights the importance of Nurses in the healthcare sector. International nurses day marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. Several activities were conducted worldwide to show gratitude to the nurses for the work they do. Nurses are at the forefront of fighting epidemics and pandemics by providing high quality and respectful treatment and care. The Covid-19 pandemic is a stark reminder of the vital role nurses play.

To pay tribute to the Nurses, Rangmanch, the cultural club of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), organized an E-contest which comprised of three activities viz. logo making, Tribute in the form of art/ craft and flashcard for the students of BBA and BCA.

The winners for the event “logo making” were:

1. Mr. Ashish Suri (BCA – 2nd Sem)

2. Ms. Shreya Verma (BBA – 4th Sem)

The winners for the event “Tribute in the form of art/ craft” were:

1. Mr. Chandan Shrivastav (BCA – 4th Sem)

2. Mr. Abhisht Gupta Verma (BCA – 2nd Sem)

3. Ms. Anjali Khindri (BBA – 4th Sem)

The winner for the event “Flashcard” was:

1. Ms. Kamil Kour (BBA- 4th Sem)

Teacher’s Day celebration at IMS

On 5th of September,2019, Institute of management sciences celebrated Teachers’day with great enthusiasm.
The students of management and computer science department commenced the celebration by paying tribute to Dr. S.RadhaKrishnan.

In India Teachers’ Day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a renowned scholar, recipient of Bharat Ratna, first Vice- President and second President of independent India. He was born on 5 September, 1888. As an educationist, he was an advocate of edification, and was a distinguished envoy, academician, and above all a great teacher.

The students presented their teachers with beautiful titles as a token of appreciation and showed their gratitude by various dance and singing performances.
Prof. J.R. Dhotra , Director IMS addressed the gathering by acknowledging their amazing efforts and guided them to a future of respect and gratitude towards their teachers and parents.

Prof S.K. Gupta also addressed the crowd and threw light on the life and journey of the great Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.
At the end, the celebration was concluded by cutting the cake to mark the celebratory spirit of the event.
