Students of IMS along with faculty attended 4th Benchmark Lecture on “Harnessing Conventional Wisdom and Innovating for Business Success: A Paradigm in Waiting” organized by University of Jammu on 13th September. The lecture was organized under Benchmark Lecture Series on Capacity Building for Enhancing Quality and Excellence under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
The lecture was conducted by an internationally acclaimed personality, an eminent institutional Builder Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Chairman DK International Foundation. He has helped to initiate 2 IIM’s; 1st Statutory Management Department in the IIT pantheon and an academy at KMPG in India, founder Director: IIM-K; Leader Consulting Team: IIM Shillong; 1st Head: Management Department, IIT Delhi.
His Lecture focused on Sustainability Development Goals and he highlighted the role of forest wealth in India which is India’s one of the biggest assets. The talk touched upon the concerns in an evocative manner. He stressed upon the basic requirement of making human life more bearable, if not livable. He made a plea for moving towards a more holistic paradigm of development.
