Independance Day celebration at IMS, Jammu
Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu celebrated the 77th Independence Day in the campus along with the faculty members and students of Management and Computer Sciences departments.
The celebration initiated with the flag raising ceremony hoisted by Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman JGEI group along with Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI group. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director IMS, Er. Nidhi Jamwal, Chief Coordinator, IMS along with the faculty members, non-teaching staff and students. The Independence Day has a special place in the heart of every Indian. Not only does it symbolize the celebration of wonderful years of freedom but also extends an emphatic message of the progressive future of our country. The celebration also included Speech Competition on the topic – “Crumbling Secularism in the current political scenario of the Nation”. This was organised by Literary club of the Institute for students of both BBA and BCA. Students enthusiastically participated in the event and put forth their views on the burning issue. The celebration ended with the National Anthem being sung by everyone. This event was full of patriotism and enthusiasm that kindled a sense of love for our country in students and also reminded us of the immense sacrifices of those who gave up their lives for the freedom of India.
