IMS, Jammu Organizes Innovation Incubator Activity for MBA Students
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at the Institution of Management Studies recently organized an “Innovation Incubator” activity for MBA 1st and 3rd semester students. The event aimed to foster creativity and entrepreneurial thinking among participants by challenging them to identify real-world problems and develop innovative solutions.
The activity commenced with students being divided into small groups. Each group was tasked with identifying a unique problem and developing a scalable and sustainable solution within 20 minutes. The problems addressed ranged from misplacement of electricity lines leading to accidents, inadequate drainage systems causing traffic jams, and the lack of practical skills education in schools, to the limited accessibility of government subsidies and high crime rates with delayed justice.
Solutions proposed by the students included undergrounding electricity lines, improving drainage systems with better engineering practices, incorporating practical skills like Excel and MS Word in school curricula, utilizing influencers to raise awareness about government subsidies, and ensuring timely justice through quicker actions.
The activity concluded on a high note, with each group presenting their ideas, followed by an engaging Q&A session. The event successfully encouraged students to think outside the box and explore innovative solutions to pressing issues.
