IMS Jammu organized an insightful session on “Design Thinking”
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at IMS Jammu organized an insightful session on “Design Thinking”, led by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director, IMS Jammu, as part of the orientation program for BBA/BCA 2nd semester students. The session was also attended by BBA/BCA 4th semester students, making it a valuable learning experience for both batches.
Dr. Sharma emphasized the significance of Design Thinking as a problem-solving approach that fosters creativity, innovation, and user-centric solutions. She explained the five stages of Design Thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test— and how these steps help in developing impactful business ideas and solutions.
The session encouraged students to think beyond conventional methods, embrace experimentation, and develop a mindset that prioritizes innovation and continuous improvement. Through real-world examples and interactive discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of how Design Thinking can be applied in business and technology to create effective and sustainable solutions.
