IMS Jammu organized an event titled “Unleashing Innovation: Union Budget and Strategies for Startup Success”

The IIC (Institution Innovation Council) of IMS Jammu organized an event titled “Unleashing Innovation: Union Budget and Strategies for Startup Success” on February 19, 2024. The primary objective of this event was to enhance students’ understanding of the pivotal marketing strategies employed by entrepreneurs within the contemporary business landscape, enabling them to navigate competition and sustain their ventures. Additionally, the event aimed to elucidate the opportunities presented to startups by the Union Budget.

The event commenced with a competition titled “Decode the Brand,” wherein participants were tasked with unraveling the strategies implemented by entrepreneurs for long-term survival and competitive positioning. Notable startups such as Lenskart and Muscle Blaze were analyzed during this paper-based presentation. Participants were evaluated based on the criteria of presentation quality, effective communication, strategic acumen, and confidence. The activity was held for MBA 1st and 2nd year students.

Following this segment, a quiz-based event centered around the Union Budget was conducted to ensure that students remained abreast of governmental initiatives and opportunities pertinent to their entrepreneurial endeavors. The quiz comprised three rounds, attracting participation from a total of 12 teams from BBA, BCA and MBA. Dr. Meenakshi Sharma Director IMS and Er. Divya Jamwal, Coordinator, Management Deptt congratulated the Faculty and students for their enthusiasm and hoped for conduction of more such events.
