Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu hosted an engaging Orientation Program for the BBA and BCA 4th and 6th semester students, aimed at motivating and inspiring students for the academic session ahead. The event, attended by Director IMS Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, department coordinators, faculty members, and students, featured insightful addresses and interactive activities.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma commenced the program with an invigorating speech emphasizing the importance of dreams, resolutions, and adaptability in achieving success. Linking life lessons with business strategies, she urged students to embrace change, step out of their comfort zones, and actively participate in campus activities. She also highlighted the significance of having a clear vision and setting personal goals to navigate life effectively.
Er. Divya Jamwal, Coordinator of the Management Department, delivered an enlightening session on “Achieving Problem-Solution Fit and Product-Market Fit.” Her talk outlined strategies for understanding customer needs, developing market-ready products, and navigating challenges like resource constraints, competition, and changing market conditions.
The program also included an interactive activity led by Ms. Vanshika Gupta, where students creatively developed taglines as part of a team-building exercise. The activity encouraged collaboration and showcased students’ innovative thinking.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Gurshish Kour, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the program a success.
