IMS Jammu, celebrated International Women’s Day
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) Cell of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu celebrated International Women’s Day with a special focus on Women Empowerment. The event saw enthusiastic participation from BBA, BCA, and MBA students, who actively engaged in activities that highlighted the strength and contributions of women across various fields.
The event commenced with an insightful PowerPoint presentation by Shubam Thakur from the MBA 2nd Semester. Shubam eloquently discussed the importance of women empowerment, showcasing notable examples of successful women globally. He emphasized society’s role in fostering gender equality and the significant impact that empowered women can have on society.
Following the presentation, students performed a role-play activity, depicting women in diverse roles such as housewives, doctors, teachers, engineers, and entrepreneurs. The performance beautifully conveyed the message that women excel in both professional and personal spheres, skillfully balancing work and home responsibilities.
The celebration concluded with an audio-video presentation, highlighting inspirational Indian women excelling in various professions, leaving the audience motivated and empowered. The event also featured the felicitation of Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director of the Jamwal Group, in recognition of her remarkable contributions to Education field.

With over 35 years of experience, she has made significant strides in shaping the educational landscape. Her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student empowerment has left an indelible mark on the education sector. Through her visionary leadership, she has continually worked towards enhancing the quality of education and creating opportunities for the youth in the region. Er. Renu Bangroo’s journey stands as a testament to the power of women in leadership, and her dedication continues to inspire many. As a gesture of gratitude, she was presented with a memento as the Leading Woman Educationist of J & K.
