IMS, Jammu celebrated Gandhi Jayanti
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, IMS Jammu proudly organized two impactful activities, highlighting the values of creativity and sustainability. The “Best Out of Waste” activity saw BBA and BCA students transform everyday waste materials into functional art pieces like piggy banks, water purifiers, and decorative flowers, showcasing their innovation and teamwork. The winners displayed exceptional creativity in repurposing waste. The top two winning teams were: Sanchita, Shubam Dhar, and Shivam Khazanchi (BBA5), who secured 1st place, and Aryan Langeh, Dhruv Behl, and Sanam (BBA3), who came 2nd. This event celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of simplicity and resourcefulness.
In parallel, the IIC Club of IMS hosted a “Sustainable Startup Brainstorm” activity for MBA students. Participants collaborated to present innovative startup ideas addressing global warming, proposing solutions such as creating bricks from plastic waste, products from sugarcane waste, and eco-friendly packaging alternatives. Both activities reinforced the importance of sustainability and creative problem-solving, driving the vision of a cleaner, greener future.
