Cultural Committee- “RANGMANCH”

Cultural Committee of IMS is one of the crucial committees responsible for the jazz factor during the students’ college life. We are a bunch of motivated individuals who believe that a college should have its equal share of fun & frolic along with the case studies. Rangmanch is an attempt to capture the vibrant persona of the students by offering them a platform to showcase their inner musicians, dancers, actors, painters, writers, photographers and dreamers.

 

The students of the college come from diversified backgrounds, the committee helps to unite and learn each other’s cultural diversity. We understand the importance of cultural sensitivity in today’s world and the cultural committee makes the young leaders at IMS sensitive to each other’s culture.

 

It aims to provide rich social-cultural experiences with the goal that the students appreciate the multi-cultural diversity of our general public.  The committee seeks to create a platform that provides the students with an opportunity to display creative talents in a variety of ways.

 

The RANGMANCH conducts the following activities:-

  • End to end organization of EKATRA, the Inter college Cultural Fest of IMS. Scheduled to happen every year, it sees the channelling of exemplary talent from across the state to IMS to compete against the best.
  • Festival celebrations in campus: The student on campus thoroughly enjoy each festival in its own flavors e.g. TEJASVI (Diwali celebration), Rang De (Holi Celebration), Republic Day Teacher’s Day etc. The cultural committee takes pleasure in organizing these so that the batch lets loose on such occasions.

 

  • Fresher’s ; Farewell Party: Rangmanch is responsible for organizing the official fresher’s party for the new batch and farewell party for the outgoing batch which consists of music, dance &; dramatics events performed by students of the new batch.
  • Theatre of Performing Arts: These are the ice breaker events to break the ice in students. This involves in-house activities like collage making, painting, etc.which help us to bring out the talent of the student.
  • Picnics/ Trips/ Tours: Rangmanch is responsible for organising picnics and tours for the students within the state and outside the state as well.
