IIC Cell of IMS, Jammu Organizes ‘Corporate Stalls’ Entrepreneurial Activity
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of the Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu, organized a vibrant entrepreneurial activity competition, titled ‘Corporate Stalls,’ on 30th October 2024. This event aimed to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among BBA, BCA, and MBA students by allowing them to experience hands-on business operations.
During the competition, multiple student teams set up creative and varied stalls, each designed to showcase their entrepreneurial skills. The event was structured as a full-day contest, with teams evaluated based on their Return on Investment (ROI) and judged across several criteria, including marketing and pricing strategy, hygiene, and innovation.
The panel of judges—Dr. Meenakshi Sharma and Prof. J. R. Dhotra—carefully assessed each team’s performance according to these parameters.
Winners of the Day:
1. First Prize: Team comprising Divyansh, Lovish, and Dhruv, who delighted attendees with their Golgappe and Papdi Chaat stall.
2. Second Prize: Anmol, Khushi, and Manav, who set up a popular Momos and Soup stall.
3. Third Prize: Rashmika, Sai, and Laksh, who earned high praise for their Bhelpuri stall.
In addition to food stalls, the event featured ten stalls overall, some of which provided entertainment through engaging games like Tear the Page, Dice Roll, Buzz Game, and Shooting—enhancing the lively atmosphere. Food stalls also offered diverse treats, including cupcakes, sandwiches, samosas, pastries, and more.
The ‘Corporate Stalls’ activity was a resounding success, giving students an opportunity to practically apply their learning in entrepreneurship and gain valuable insights into running a business.
