The Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) at the Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu organized an enlightening session on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies”, led by Ms. Gurshish Kour, Assistant Professor IMS. The session aimed at empowering budding entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts with essential skills to thrive in a competitive market.
The session began with a discussion on the meaning of entrepreneurship and startups, highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit as a driving force for innovation and economic growth. The session emphasized the importance of understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitor strategies. Ms. Gurshish Kour discussed how effective positioning helps businesses differentiate themselves from competitors and resonate with their target audience. With the rise of digital platforms, the session covered strategies like social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing and PPC advertising. Students gained insights into building robust sales pipelines, crafting compelling value propositions, and employing customer-centric approaches.
This session was conducted as a part of Orientation program for students of MBA, BBA and BCA courses of the institute. The session ended on a high note with an engaging Q&A, where students eagerly asked questions and clarified their doubts. Around 75 students from MBA, BBA and BCA attended the session along with 6 Faculty members.
