Group Discussion Activity on National Education Day
On the occasion of National Education Day on 11th November, the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) cell of IMS Jammu organized a Group Discussion Activity for BBA and BCA students. Participants, divided into groups of five, engaged in meaningful discussions on topics such as Women Empowerment, Pros and Cons of Online Study, and Environmental Pollution.
The discussion on Women Empowerment highlighted the importance of gender equality, focusing on providing women with equal opportunities in education, workplaces, and leadership roles. Students proposed solutions like skill development programs and awareness campaigns while addressing challenges such as societal norms and wage disparities.
In Pros and Cons of Online Study, students debated the flexibility and accessibility of online education versus its drawbacks, including a lack of personal interaction and technical barriers. Many advocated for a balanced approach that combines online and offline learning.
On Environmental Pollution, participants discussed its causes, effects, and solutions, emphasizing sustainable practices, stricter environmental policies, and individual responsibility in reducing waste and promoting greenery.
This activity enhanced students’ critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills while encouraging them to address real-world issues. The IIC cell’s initiative successfully fostered intellectual growth and social awareness, making the event a fitting tribute to National Education Day.
