Expert Session on Project Management

An online Corporate Guest lecture on Project Management was organized by Management Studies Department of Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu on 20th August, 2020. The Corporate resource person was Mr. Purnendu Ghosh – a Project Delivery specialist and six sigma practitioner. He has more than 15 years of corporate experience in Operations and Project delivery in various Content Management Organizations such as IDS Infotech, Innodata-Isogen, RMSI and Contentra Technologies. He is currently working as a Lead Data Analyst in Risk Intelligence & Management at RMS. The webinar was attended by the students and faculty of MBA and BBA courses. The session started with a welcome address by Asst. Prof Dr. Meenakshi Sharma. This was followed by an hour long session by Mr. Purnendu Ghosh on the intricacies of managing different types of projects. He shared his personal experiences in different areas and advised students on the expectations and challenges in this area. He explained how continuous learning, agile thinking and project management tools such as Jira and ProofHub can be used to optimize the performance of the project teams. The webinar ended with an engaging Q & A session with the students and faculty.
