Er. Renu Bangroo is a dynamic leader and a source of inspiration for many, She has played a pivotal role in transforming higher education in Jammu and Kashmir. With over 35 years of experience, she has made significant strides in shaping the educational landscape. Her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student empowerment has left an indelible mark on the education sector. Through her visionary leadership, she has continually worked towards enhancing the quality of education and creating opportunities for the youth in the region. Er. Renu Bangroo’s journey stands as a testament to the power of women in leadership, and her dedication continues to inspire many. As a gesture of gratitude, she was presented with a memento as the Leading Woman Educationist of J & K.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with traditional lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana. Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director of IMS, welcomed Chief Guest Mr. Annil Suri, President and CEO of AB Consultants, Er Vidhi S Jamwal — Chairman Jamwal group, Er Renu Bangroo — Managing Director, Jamwal Group, Vice Chairman, Shivdev S Jamwal along with other dignitaries and students. She outlined the various contests and competitions that were to be held during the day and wished luck to the participating students .Er. Vidhi S Jamwal, Chairman of the Jamwal Group, congratulated the organizers and encouraged students to hone their skills through such events. He advised the students to channelize their energies in the positive way to become good citizens of the world. In his address the Chief Guest, Mr. Annil Suri thanked and praised IMS Jammu’s initiative in providing a platform for undergraduate students in the region. He said that such events provide a great platform to the students of this region to showcase and enhance their talent and skills. The ceremony also featured the release of Reflection’ 25, the IMS College annual newsletter.

In the prize distribution ceremony in the afternoon session, Special Guests Mr. Nakul Khanna, Cluster Head, and Ms. Lakshmi Badiar, Relationship Manager, both from Nippon Mutual Fund, delivered inspiring speeches and appreciated the initiative taken by IMS Jammu. With 156 participants from 14 colleges, including SPMR College of Commerce, MAM College, and others, the conclave was a resounding success. This year’s event Competitions like Product Launch, Quiz, Code-a-Thon, Just a Minute, and Blindfold Games fostered creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Prof. J.R. Dhotra delivered concluding remarks, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in developing future leaders.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Er. Divya Jamwal, who expressed gratitude to all participants.

The first session featured a Guest Lecture on Financial Markets by Mr. Vishesh Choudhary, Founder of Vyapar Street and an esteemed alumnus of IMS. He emphasized the significance of financial awareness among students and the practical application of financial knowledge from an early age.

Adding an interactive element to the event, students participated in an engaging “Good Idea and Bad Idea” activity, where they refined and improved suboptimal business concepts, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The orientation also included a Design Thinking session led by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, encouraging students to adopt a creative and structured approach to problem-solving in business and technology.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Divya Jamwal, appreciating the speakers, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The Orientation Programme successfully provided students with valuable insights, alumni interaction, and experiential learning, ensuring a motivating start to the new semester at IMS Jammu.
