IMS organised an industrial visit to AVI software on April 19th, 2024 for the students BCA -6th,
4th And 2nd semester.
During the visit the students interacted with Mr. Avinash Kumar Sharma ,Director Avi Softwares. Mr. Avinash guided the students of how working in the corporate sector will be helpful for them and enlightened the students with the work culture of Avi. He advised the students to remain updated with the upcoming technologies.
Students were given a demonstration by HR Akansha and Mr. Shakeeb about the operation of the company’s projects and various services .
Apart from gaining the knowledge the students were very much influenced And motivated as technology is the next future.
Coordinator Mrs Sheetal Sharma And Asst. Prof. Priya Gupta accompanied the students.

Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu Organizes Insightful Industrial Visit for Students, providing them with a practical understanding of the workings of the industry. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, offering students valuable insights into the industrial processes.

The excursion took place on 9th of December 2023, wherein students from management and computer science departments participated. The visit included a comprehensive tour of Godrej Pvt. Limited, industrial area a leading company located in Kathua. Students had the opportunity to witness the cutting-edge technologies, processes, and operations.

Godrej Pvt. Limited is a renowned company known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices. With a rich history of years, the company continues to be a pioneer in its field.

The program commenced with a warm welcome from Godrej Pvt. Limited representatives, Hr and administration Head-Mr. Anil Kumar,Operations Head- Mr. Kunal Sharma,Quality Head- Mr. Sanjay Pundir,Safety Head-Tarun Sharma, who shared their expertise through informative presentations. Students engaged in interactive sessions, posing questions and gaining valuable perspectives from industry professionals. This interaction not only broadened their knowledge but also allowed them to explore potential career paths within the industry.

IMS, Jammu organized an Industrial Visit

Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu organized an Industrial Visit for the students of final year BBA (5th & 3rd semester) and MBA (Ist & 3rd semester) on November 29, 2022. As part of BBA & MBA programme, the students are required to undertake an industrial visit to an organization of repute for practical insight & understanding with regard to the functioning of an industrial unit viz; Production, Finance, Human Resources & Marketing and for getting corporate exposure.
The students visited IndSwiftLabs Ltd, Samba which is one of the leading Pharmaceutical companies. Headquartered in Chandigarh, India, Ind-Swift Laboratories Ltd. today is a global manufacturer of APIs, Intermediates, and formulations (through group collaboration).
The students were taken through a tour of manufacturing plant where they observed the working and mechanisms of plant operations. Mr. Navdeep Singh – Commercial Head and Mr. Kamal Sharma – Asst Manager, HR greeted the students and apprised the students regarding various protocols and functioning of Unit. Later, Mr. Ram Singh – Production Head and Mr. Arjun kumar – Plant Head explained the various facets of Quality Control and Logistics to the students. The students were accompanied by Faculty of IMS – Asst Prof Divya Jamwal and Asst Prof Rahul Gupta. Overall, the visit was very informative and provided a great experience to the students.

IMS organized blind school visit for the students of MBA

The social club of the Institute of management sciences (IMS), Prayaas organized a day visit for the MBA students to the Blind School at Roop Nagar.

As a part of social work, the students distributed certain essentials like clothes, food materials, and medicines. They discussed the importance of health and sanitation with the kids of blind schools. The students also motivated them for studies and its benefits. IMS organizes such social work events for students to feel their responsibility towards the society and encourages them to do social activities more often.

The visit concluded with singing some songs and sharing snacks.

Industrial Visit to Jai Beverages, Bari Brahmana, Jammu

Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu organized an Industrial Visit for the students of final year BBA (5th semester) and first year MBA (Ist semester) on September 20, 2019. As part of BBA & MBA programme, the students are required to undertake an industrial visit to an organization of repute for practical insight & understanding with regard to the functioning of an industrial unit viz; Production, Finance, Human Resources & Marketing and for getting corporate exposure.

The students visited Jai Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Bari Brahmana, Jammu which is one of the largest Pepsi plants owned by the JAIPURIA Group. It is the leading supplier of Pepsico products in J&K with a variety of products such as Mountain Dew, Slice, Pepsi, Nimbooz, Mineral water etc.

The students were taken through a tour of manufacturing plant where they observed the working and mechanism of plant operations. The visit concluded with an interactive session with Mr. Sushil Ruhela, GM HRAD & Litigation where he answered the queries of the students. Overall, the visit was very informative and provided a great experience to the students.

BBA Students from IMS visited Shalimar Flooring Pvt Ltd.

Department of Management organised an industrial visit for the students of BBA 3rd semister.

The visit was taken to Shalimar flooring pvt limited, SIDCO complex, Bari Brahmana Jammu. Mr Rakesh Bhat (Managing Director, Sahlimar flooring) interacted with the students and explained them the production, operation and material management of the company. He handled the queries of the students as well.

The visit was organised by Mrs Khushbu Singh (Training placement officer,IMS) and Mrs Vani Gupta (Asst Prof, IMS) also accompanied the students for the visit.

IMS Students visited SEBI for an awareness session

Institute of Management Sciences organised a field visit for the management students at SEBI , Bahu plaza Jammu.

The visit was based on “Investor Awareness“. Assistant general manager, SEBI Mr. Mohan Lal Saroj acquainted the students about the functions and working of share market.

Students were highly enriched with the session of finance for their future prospects. The session was highly appreciated. The faculty accompanied the students was Rahul Gupta (Asst Prof, IMS).
