Mr. Fresher from Batch 2022 was Mr.Kartik Choudhary  and  Ms.Fresher was bagged by Ms. Vandana Kumari. Students performed various fun activities such as singing,  comedic acts , Punjabi Bhangra etc. The Students enjoyed the party with great enthusiasm. The organizers of the party that are  students of BCA 3rd and 5th were presented with gifts as a token of appreciation .The Celebration was attended by all the faculty members of BCA department.

The programme was witnessed by Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI  in the presence of host of dignitaries. Dr. Meenakshi Sharma Director Incharge IMS ,  Prof. J.R. Dhotra,  Dr. Mukul Rana  Director YCET, Faculty and students of the institution  graced the occasion.

The major attractions of Tejaswi 2022 included competition like  Rangoli making, Desert making, Mehandi/Tattoo, Short film  and Corporate stalls. The programme was rounded up with a sensational cultural event high-lightning the ethnic attire of festivities  with a show stopping Fashion show , Dances  and singing performances.

Finally, the function concluded with presentation of Medals to winners by the management and vote of thanks delivered by Prof. J.R. Dhotra.

The Inaugural session started with welcome addresses by  Chairman JGEI – Er. Vidhi S. Jamwal and Director Incharge IMS – Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, where they welcomed the students to the institute. This was followed by College Presentation by Dr. Meenakshi Sharma who showcased the facilities, achievements and activities undertaken by college in the last year.

The first Guest Lecture was taken by Col. Yogesh Mangotra, Retired Army personnel who discussed the various facets of leadership, its implications in everyday life and the techniques through which students can implement them to succeed in future.

On the second day Prof. J. R. Dhotra  welcomed the new students who motivated them to explore themselves and enhance their Self-understanding to improve themselves. Following the address, the students were familiarised with the New Education policy and the various subjects under its umbrella by respective faculty members.  This was followed by Expert Guest lecture taken by Dr. Manu Arora – the renowned Psychiatrist from GMC, Jammu who talked about Stress Management and created awareness regarding burning issues such as depression and anxiety amongst the students. A fun activity in the form of a pop quiz and an icebreaker activity of Tug of war was conducted for the students . The session also witnessed a small felicitation ceremony for Mr. Rohit Kumar and Ms. Isheeka Sharma, BBA University Toppers of the 2018-2021 batch. All the guest lectures ended with an engaging Q & A session with the students and faculty. The Induction programme was concluded by Asst Prof. Ms. Gurshish Kour who gave the formal vote of thanks.

About 180 students joined the picnic. Four big buses were hired for this. There were great enjoyment and pleasure in the launch such as singing, dancing, etc. There was a lot of fun with the loud music too.

We spent about six hours there. It gave us a new vision and a new thought.

Each and every student enjoyed the day to the fullest with delightful lunch and evening tea and an environment filled with love and cheer.

The Department of Computer Science organised Freshers cum Farewell party -Feista-2022 for BCA students at Hotel Grand Inn Jammu.

The programme also comprised of award ceremony by Mr. J R Dhotra, Director -IMS to every student as a token of love from the Institute.

Best Outfit was bagged by Mr. Raghav Abrol (BBA – I) and Ms Aaina Gupta (BBA – III). The winners were felicitated by Prof. J. R. Dhotra, Director, IMS.
