Placement Drive for IMS Students by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance

IMS organised a placement drive for the students of MBA 4th Sem by ICICI Prudential

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company is a joint venture between ICICI Bank and Prudential plc, a leading international financial services group headquartered in the United Kingdom. ICICI Prudential was amongst the first private sector insurance companies to begin operations in December 2000 after receiving approval from Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

ICICI prudential Screened many students, out of which 6 were selected. The selection process included group discussion and personal interview.

The placement drive was organised by khushbu Singh Training and placement officer, IMS

Farewell for MBA Students

“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be even at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand”.

The students of MBA 2nd Semester bid a farewell to their seniors today. The farewell party was organised at Lords Inn – Jammu.

The programme also comprised of award ceremony by Er Nidhi Jamwal ,Chief Coordinator -IMS to every student as a token of love from the Institute.

Mr and Ms IMS titles were won by Mr Abhijeet Singh and Ms Ichhapreet Kour where as Student of the Batch was awarded to Mr Aryamann Singh.

Faculty members who accompanied the students were Ms Gushish Kour and Er Divya Jamwal.

Mega Campus Drive by JGEI for IMS Students

Jamwal Group of educational institutions (JGEI) organised a mega campus placement drive for its final semester Engineering, Diploma and management students across its various institutes namely Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), IECS Polytechnic, Tawi Engineering College and Tawi Polytechnic in Jammu and Pathankot.

It is indeed pride and privilege to share view facts about placements as placements has always been a vital ingredients for endorsing institutes students potentiality and its always an endeavor for entire academic fraternity to raise the placements bar year-on-year by imparting essential technical and non-technical techniques to students due to which they become competent to face the industry challenges.

The placement drive started on 24th April’2019 in which the various companies Ajax Flori Pvt Ltd, AK Global Management Services, Dewcomm Communication Enterprises Pvt Ltd and DMRK Infocad Pvt Ltd participated and selected 33 students after rigorous group discussions, personal and technical interviews as well as written tests. The drive was successfully concluded on 25th April’2019 evening.

The two selected students of Department of Management, IMS along with other selected students were handed over the offer letters in the presence of Mr Sandeep Pandita (Head, Strategic Planning and operations, JGEI), Dr Arvind Dewangan (Director, YCET), Dr Ajay Sharma (Director, IMS), Er Amit Sharma (Vice Principal, IECS Polytechnic), HOD’s of various departments and the faculty members. The students who were handed over the offer letters were:

2. Navneet Kour

Institute of management Sciences (IMS) organized a placement drive for the students of BBA- 6th Semester and MBA-4th Semester.
Mr. Honey Katiyal, CEO of Investors Clinic Infratech Private Ltd. This is a largest real estate company established in 2006 and has a strong network of 34 offices across India and abroad in Dubai, Singapore.

About 50 students participated in the placement drive. After detailed interviews, the company short listed 6 students for appointment namely:

BBA Students from IMS visited Shalimar Flooring Pvt Ltd.

Department of Management organised an industrial visit for the students of BBA 3rd semister.

The visit was taken to Shalimar flooring pvt limited, SIDCO complex, Bari Brahmana Jammu. Mr Rakesh Bhat (Managing Director, Sahlimar flooring) interacted with the students and explained them the production, operation and material management of the company. He handled the queries of the students as well.

The visit was organised by Mrs Khushbu Singh (Training placement officer,IMS) and Mrs Vani Gupta (Asst Prof, IMS) also accompanied the students for the visit.

Guest Lecture on Career Guidance & Communication Skills

The Department of Management Studies, Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) organised a guest lecture on Carrier guidance and communication skills. The lecture was delivered by Er. Annil Suri ex-president of (BBIA) MD of TAWI ARC ELECTRODES PVT LTD, MEMBER OF ADVISORY BOARD JAMMU UNIVERSITY. The Program witnessed the presence of Dr Rekha Gupta (Director IMS), Dr SK Gupta (Dean, IMS), and Prof. JR Dhotra. The event started with the welcome address by TPO Khushbu Singh followed by motivational speech by prof JR.Dhotra and A Boosting Talk by Dr. Rekha Gupta (Director IMS) The Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. S.K. Gupta (Dean Academics, IMS).

The guests lecture was organised by Khushbu Singh Training officer (IMS) and Asst TPO Tarun Dev Singh Jamwal (IMS).
