IMS, Jammu organized an Industrial Visit

Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Jammu organized an Industrial Visit for the students of final year BBA (5th & 3rd semester) and MBA (Ist & 3rd semester) on November 29, 2022. As part of BBA & MBA programme, the students are required to undertake an industrial visit to an organization of repute for practical insight & understanding with regard to the functioning of an industrial unit viz; Production, Finance, Human Resources & Marketing and for getting corporate exposure.
The students visited IndSwiftLabs Ltd, Samba which is one of the leading Pharmaceutical companies.  Headquartered in Chandigarh, India, Ind-Swift Laboratories Ltd. today is a global manufacturer of APIs, Intermediates, and formulations (through group collaboration).
The students were taken through a tour of manufacturing plant where they observed the working and mechanisms of plant operations. Mr. Navdeep Singh – Commercial Head and Mr. Kamal Sharma – Asst Manager, HR greeted the students and apprised the students regarding various protocols and functioning of Unit. Later, Mr. Ram Singh – Production Head and Mr. Arjun kumar – Plant Head explained the various facets of Quality Control and Logistics to the students. The students were accompanied by Faculty of IMS – Asst Prof Divya Jamwal and Asst Prof Rahul Gupta. Overall, the visit was very informative and provided a great experience to the students.
