IMS organized expert session on the topic “Role of Block chain in Today’s Era”
Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) organized expert session on the topic “Role of Block chain in Today’s Era” on 5th November, 2022 for BCA students.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Pranav Ratta, Faculty of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu. The session started with a warm welcome to Mr Pranav Ratta who was presented with a Bouquet by Assistant Professor Mrs Sheetal Sharma as a token of appreciation. This was followed by one hour long session where he started the session with the introduction of blockchain.
He explained that block chain is a database that stores information electronically in digital format. Block chains are best known for their crucial role in crypto currency systems, such as Bitcoin, for maintaining a secure and decentralized record of transactions. He went on to discuss the applications for blockchain technology and why it is more secure. Further he explained about the IOT (Internet of Things) and by storing IoT data on blockchain, additional security would be added, making it more difficult for hackers to access the network. He further enlighten the students about the career options in block chain technology. He motivated students to stay updated on trending Technologies and various skills to be able to climb the corporate ladder with ease. Staying updated, opens doors to opportunities and growth. Students found the session engrossing and highly motivating.
The session was followed by valuable words of Director, Dr Meenakshi Sharma who thanked Mr Pranav Ratta for their invaluable insights and for parting knowledge to the young budding minds. The session was concluded by Assistant Professor Ms Poonam Sabharwal who presented formal Vote of Thanks.
