“Arambh 20” – An Induction Program for BBA & BCA

A One Day Online Induction Programme for new BBA & BCA batches was organized by Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu on 30th  October, 2021. The Induction programme consisted of  a mix of Expert guest session along with fun/quiz activities and familiarizing the students with academic and non- academic programmes of the college.

The Inaugural session started with welcome addresses by the Management of institution – Chairman JGEI – Er. Vidhi S. Jamwal, Managing Director – Er. Renu Bangroo and Director IMS – Prof J R Dhotra, where they welcomed the students and their parents to the institute. The management urged the students to make full use of College facilities and environment to broaden their horizons and wished them well for their future. After this the Chief Coordinator Er. Nidhi Jamwal welcomed the new students and motivated them to explore themselves and enhance their Self- understanding to improve themselves. She advised them to take every opportunity to expand their horizons in the next few years. This was followed by an Expert Guest lecture of the programme taken by Dr, Manu Arora – the renowned Psychiatrist from GMC, Jammu who talked about Stress Management and created awareness regarding burning issues such as depression and anxiety amongst the students. The lecture ended with a very interactive QA session with students and faculty.

The second half of the Induction program involved the College Presentation by Asst. Prof Dr. Meenakshi Sharma who showcased the facilities, achievements and activities undertaken by college in the last year.  After a brief introduction of the Faculty, an interactive activity in the form of pop quiz was conducted to close the induction program on a fun filled note. The Induction programme was concluded by Asst Prof. Ms. Gurshish Kour who thanked all the guest speakers for their invaluable insights and presented the formal Vote of Thanks.
